Description 
This course will familiarize delegates to the PSAC Triennial National Convention with the process of passing resolutions and the rules of order that will be used at the convention. 

Who is this course for? 

This course is open to all members but priority will be given to PSAC members who are registered as delegates then observers to the next PSAC National Convention.  

This course will be held in person at the Ottawa regional office training room.

Time commitment 

It will be on May 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Objectives 

This course aims to enable participants to: 

  • Be able to explain the main purpose of the convention
  • Develop strategies for getting support for resolutions at convention
  • Be able to explain how voting works at Convention 
  • Be familiar with the most frequently used Rules of Order.
