Education for Action: Creating Leaders in our Unions and Workplaces

Is your local ready for the upcoming strike votes? Are you looking to build and develop skills to help mobilize members in your local? Come join the NCR Regional Office and the PSAC Ottawa Area Council for this special workshop series. Education for Action: Creating Leaders in our Unions and Workplaces.

• Troubleshoot mobilizing issues in your local
• Learn more about essential skills to help grow your local and the broader labour movement, and an opportunity to put these skills to the test (i.e., lobbying, communicating with members, creative actions)
• Learn from the experiences of workers who have recently been involved in successful strikes (i.e., CUPE education workers, workers from the Office of the Auditor General Strike)
• Share your knowledge and experiences with your fellow union members as we grow a strong activist core within the NCR
• Learn more about what is involved with going on strike with the PSAC

We are looking for PSAC members who are already delegates of the Ottawa Area Council and PSAC members who would like to become more involved with their union. Those selected to attend will be eligible for compensation for loss of salary.
