Webinar: Returning to the workplace

Thursday November 4, 6:30 pm

This webinar, presented on Zoom on Thursday 4 November at 6:30 pm, will discuss the challenges of transitioning to new forms of work organization in the wake of COVID-19.

Martin Chadoin, a professor with the Organization and Human Resources Department at Université du Québec à Montréal and member of the Sustainable Prevention and Work Environment research team at the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité au travail (IRSST) will be our guest speaker.

Mr. Chadoin will present considerations for returning to the office and facilitating the transition to new forms of work organization. He will also discuss adaptable proposals to guide organizations as they reopen their offices and help those who are involved in these processes — including unions such as PSAC — think of ways to bring them to fruition. Mr. Chadoin will be accomanied by Maud Gonella, a scientific professional at the IRSST and co-author of the guide “Le retour au bureau à la suite de la crise sanitaire de la COVID-19 : démarche pour une transition vers de nouvelles organisations du travail”.

The webinar will be 90 minutes: approximately 40 minutes for Mr. Chadoin’s presentation and 45 minutes for the Q&A.

Please note that the presentation will be given in French only, but the researchers can answer questions in French or English, and we will be providing simultaneous interpretation for the entire webinar. The IRSST’s guide and the presentation will also be available in both languages.

This webinar is open to all PSAC members, but is specifically aimed at active members on the joint health and safety committees who are currently discussing a possible return to the workplace with their employer.
