Description
This one-day course focuses on some basics of how convention works, writing and supporting resolutions, and how delegates and observers get to convention. It is intended for members who will be delegates or observers to the NCR Triennial Convention or the PSAC Triennial Convention.
Objectives
This course aims to enable participants to:
- Be able to explain the main purpose of the convention
- Develop strategies for getting support for resolutions at convention
- Be able to explain how voting works at Convention
- Be familiar with the most frequently used Rules of Order.
This training will be bilingual with interpretation and will be held at 233 Gilmour Street, 6th floor, Ottawa, ON.
