PSAC celebrates major pension victory for frontline workers expected in federal budget

PSAC welcomes the federal government’s commitment to expand early retirement eligibility for frontline federal workers in the upcoming 2025 federal budget. Prime Minister Mark Carney announced today that amendments to the Public Service Superannuation Act will be included in the federal budget. These changes will ensure that frontline workers can retire with dignity after 25 years of service, without penalty.

To help make things clearer and highlight the options available to you, we’ve created new flowcharts for federal public service workers employed by Treasury Board, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Parks Canada, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
