Halloween Social & Lobbying Event

Wednesday, October 28, 2026, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Café Area, 1st Floor, PSAC Building, 233 Gilmour Street, Ottawa

The PSAC-NCR Education Committee and the Health and Safety Committee invite you to an evening of union activism, solidarity, and fun as part of our annual Halloween event.

Decisions made in Ottawa have a direct impact on our working conditions. This year, don’t just watch those decisions unfold. Join us and make your voice heard.

Together, we will write emails to Members of Parliament across the National Capital Region to express concerns about return-to-office policies and raise awareness of the issues arising from the labour dispute involving Bank of Canada security guards, particularly with respect to the enforcement of federal labour laws and the accountability of public institutions.

This event is an opportunity to bring our concerns directly to elected officials and show that PSAC members are informed, engaged, and prepared to stand up for their rights and interests.

And because solidarity is built through both action and connection, the evening will also include games, food, non-alcoholic refreshments, and several door prizes. Come take action, connect with fellow members, and celebrate Halloween in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

👻 Costumes are strongly encouraged!
Prizes will be awarded for costumes as well as participation in the games.

🚗 Free parking is available behind the PSAC building and on nearby streets.
