01/30/2026-01/31/2026, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
233 Gilmour Street, 6th floor, Ottawa, ON
The TUB is the “cornerstone” of our PSAC Education Program and a prerequisite for most of our other courses. This two and a half-day course will introduce you to the PSAC, its structure, how to become involved and the fundamentals of trade union action. Emphasis is put on members’ rights in the workplace and in the union; on understanding and using the collective agreement and on union mechanisms to obtain and protect rights.
This training is intended for all PSAC members, especially new members who are new to the history and structure of this large, pan-Canadian union.
Participant Selection:
Please note that due to limited spots, participant selection for this course will:
- Prioritize new stewards to encourage broader participation.
- Reflect the diversity of our membership to ensure inclusivity.
- Consider the date of registration if all other factors are equal.
Thank you for your understanding as we strive to create a fair and balanced selection process
