Day of Mourning
April 28 is the Day of Mourning for workers killed and injured on the job.
This year it’s important to reflect on and commemorate workers who died or fell ill while working through the COVID-19 pandemic.
On April 28, we must answer the call. Let us mourn the dead, and fight for the living. The fight for paid sick days for all workers has never been more important.
Take 10 minutes of action for 10 paid sick days and safer workplaces for all.
Action could look like: stopping work to hold a long moment of silence, taking a break, holding a banner or a sign, wearing black, using one of the available virtual backgrounds.
