Guest speaker:

Mojdeh Cox is an award-winning consultant, convener, facilitator and published author who is nationally recognized for her expertise in anti-oppression, human rights and strategy. She is the Founder and CEO of Cox & Co., a full scale values-driven consulting firm aiming to build better institutions and communities that thrive with intention. Cox & Co. specializes in ethical governance, strategy, and deep anti-oppression. For over a decade and a half, Mojdeh has coached organizational and community leaders, unions, businesses and not-for-profit organizations across all sectors on re-imagining their work through a heightened equity lens rooted in social justice. Examples of Mojdeh’s work spans from organizing and convening the largest equity-based lobby on Parliament Hill on Indigenous rights and justice for the Canadian Labour Congress, to facilitating consultations leading to the co-creation of the Community Diversity and Inclusion Strategy (CDIS) for the City of London. She has also designed and facilitated popular education workshops with and for marginalized communities around social agency and community empowerment. Most recently, Mojdeh’s thought leadership on Radical Accountability has been nationally recognized in her tenure as a nonprofit CEO. The framework that Mojdeh developed on Radical Accountability is now immersed in the common lexicon of leadership and governance in the nonprofit sector and beyond. Mojdeh is proud of her PSAC roots, where she was once a young worker activist, first term Local President of CEIU 581, a ULDP graduate, an Alliance Facilitator, a JLP vetted and trained facilitator, and Alternate on the Ontario Regional Council – all spanning from 2008-2011. She credits the PSAC and her fellow members, leaders, activists and staff for making space for her to maximize her circle of support to build a beautiful and dynamic purpose driven community and career. Mojdeh is mama to four bright and funny children ranging from ages 22 to 10, twins included! She loves art, nature and quiet moments with her best bud, Leo, the not-so-mini Mini Golden Doodle.
