October 25: March for fair wages
Treasury Board is still insisting on wage increases that fall well below inflation — that don’t keep up with the rising cost of living — for 165,000 public service workers.
As our bargaining teams keep pressing the government for a fair deal, join our rally:
WHEN: 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25
WHERE: Outside the Marriott Hotel (100 Kent St.) followed by a march to the Prime Minister’ Office at Elgin and Wellington (arrival at PMO by 1 p.m.)
Speeches (at Elgin and Wellington) by:
• NDP Leader JAGMEET SINGH
• CEIU President EDDY BOURQUE
• CLC President BEA BRUSKE
• REVP for PSAC-NCR, ALEX SILAS
• bargaining team member, CHARITO HUMPHREYS
We are ready to fight for what we deserve — a decent contract that builds better, more inclusive workplaces and protects workers from the skyrocketing cost of living. And we are ready to take action, up to and including a strike, to be treated with respect!
