Ottawa Regional Women Committee (ORWC) AGM – March 2025 (Hybrid)

The ORWC is holding its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, March 13 from 5:30 – 7 PM ET on Zoom or in person, in the JK Wylie boardroom on the 1st floor of 233 Gilmour. A light meal will be served around 5:00pm for in-person attendees.

The Ottawa Regional Women’s Committee (ORWC) of the PSAC-NCR is a dynamic group of women who work to promote women’s personal and professional wellbeing. Its spheres of activity include; union and workplace issues, social and environmental issues, politics, and the economy. It is inclusive and values diversity within the union, and in public and private sectors.

Elections

Elections will be held for the following positions with a term of one year each:

  • Chair
  • Alternate Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer

Notice of Motion

The committee has proposed a name change from Ottawa Regional Women’s committee ORWC to National Capital Region Women’s Committee (NCRWC) in order to be inclusive to women in all of the NCR Region.

The committee has proposed to extend monthly meetings from 60 minutes to 90 minutes at the regularly scheduled meeting held on the 2nd Thursday of each month beginning at 5:30 pm and ending at 7:00 pm.

We are asking that you please pass this invitation on to your members.
