Join a planning team for the PSAC NCR Regional Convention!

The NCR’s Regional Convention will take place from June 5-7, 2026, at the Hilton Lac-Leamy, Gatineau.

We are now seeking members in good standing to participate in the following planning teams:

  • Convention steering committee
  • Bylaw review working group

These teams will have a direct impact on the region over the coming years, and participating is a great opportunity to directly influence your union.

Both teams will be co-chaired by Ruth Lau MacDonald, Regional Executive Vice-President (REVP) of PSAC-NCR, and a member elected by each team respectively.

Members will be chosen to reflect the diversity of our union, including language, equity-deserving groups, components, directly chartered locals (DCLs) and sectors.

Please submit your applications no later than November 12. All applicants will be informed by email should they be selected.

Steering Committee

The steering committee will guide the direction of the regional convention. They will develop recommendations for the theme, objectives, agenda and activities during the convention, subject to the approval of the REVP.

Bylaw review working group

Leading up to the regional convention, the bylaw review working group will review the PSAC NCR bylaws and regulations. They will prepare recommendations for resolutions at convention to update or modify our region’s bylaws and regulations.

Prior experience with reviewing bylaws and regulations will be considered an asset.
