Pride Committee is seeking a Secretary/Treasurer!

Are you a 2SLGBTQIA+ member? Are you looking for new ways to get involved with your union?

The PSAC NCR Pride Committee is hosting elections for their Secretary/Treasurer. This role helps the executive with managing the committee’s finances and records of decision.

We encourage members with all levels of experience to run! Want to be nominated for the role, but don’t have experience? The Pride executive can provide training and guidance for new members.

The election will be held at the Pride Committee meeting on November 12 at 5:00 p.m. on Zoom.

What is the PSAC NCR’s Pride Committee?

The PSAC NCR’s Pride Committee focuses on activities to celebrate the resiliency and perseverance of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Pride is not only a vibrant and vocal way to recognize the achievements of 2SLGBTQIA+ people, but it is also a rallying cry to end discrimination, homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia.

We strive to:

  • promote equity and protect the human rights of 2SLGBTQIA+ members
  • provide a safe informal forum for discussions on work-related issues specific to 2SLGBTQIA+ members
  • actively address 2SLGBTQIA+ members’ work-related concerns, as well as protect human rights.
