Across the country, more than 900 PSAC members are working at the Non-Public Funds, providing vital programs and services to Canadian Forces members, veterans, and their families. These members offer morale and welfare services such as health, fitness and recreational programs as well as shopping, retail, and financial services.
Each local has their own collective agreement and terms of condition for employment. The teams are coming together to set priorities and harmonize important issues.

With an overwhelming vote in favour of strike action, six NPF bargaining units in Ottawa, Valcartier, Montreal-St. Jean, Bagotville, Petawawa and Kingston are now in a legal strike position and can declare strike action at any point if an agreement is not reached.

People think that because we’re on bases we must be getting paid well. We are proud of the services we provide to military members and their families, but the fact we’re paid so little hurts us and we are prepared to strike if we can’t come to an agreement at the bargaining table.
