Description: 

A review of what access looks, feels, and sounds like, with attention to the intersectionality of the disability community and the many ways people encounter barriers. This workshop shows how removing barriers that should be removed strengthens inclusion for everyone, at any point in their life. It also clarifies the difference between Access, Accommodation, and the Duty to Accommodate (DTA), and outlines Temporary, Episodic, and Permanent disabilities, including non‑visible experiences. 

Since these workshops are offered by members who volunteer their time, they may be facilitated primarily in English. All prepared materials, however, will be available in both French and English. 

For PSAC-NCR members that will select the in-person in the registration. A light meal will be offered for their in-person participation if they registered no later than the day before the workshop.
