Bill 124 Ratification vote and Information Session – DCL Local 77000 Postdoctoral Union – Carleton University

Location: Virtual online information session and vote.

Thursday June 20th, 2024 from 6 p.m. (noon EDT) to 7:00 p.m.

Members of DCL 77000 are invited to vote on the tentative agreement in regards to Bill 124.

  • PSAC Regulation 15 makes it clear that all members must attend the information session in its entirety before voting. The information session will start at 6pm.
  • Attending the virtual information session, being MIGS (Member In Good Standing) and receiving a PIN are the required criteria that will allow members to cast their vote.

STEPS

Step 1: REGISTER

  • Deadline to register is 5:00pm on June 19th, 2024
  • Scroll down below to Register. Remember to use a personal email address
  • In order to ensure that members are fully informed prior to casting their ballot, the PSAC Constitution requires all members to attend an information session before they vote. This session will be held virtually and will allow members to ask questions regarding the tentative agreement.
  • Your PSAC ID number is required to register, it is listed in the top right corner of your voter package, or you can call 613-560-4344 or email ncr-vote@psac-afpc.com
  • Please join the Information session a few minutes early to ensure you are able to log in and address any technical problems in advance.
  • All tablets may not work.

Step 2: PINS

  • You will receive a PIN letter to your personal email address. You will need this PIN to cast your ballot once you have attended the information session. Your PIN will arrive on June 18th after your attendance at the information session. It will come from Communications@psac-afpc.vote Please verify your junk and promotional folders before calling emailing. If you do not receive your PIN please call 613-560-4344 or email ncr-vote@psac-afpc.com remember to include your name and use a personal email address.

Step 3: UPDATE STATUS

  • You may be requested to fill in a RAND or MIGS form. Only Members in Good Standing may vote and these forms will fulfill that obligation.
  • If you have not signed a card or your status is RAND
    • If you are RAND in our database, it means we do not have a signed membership card for you on record. You may fill in your RAND card electronically. You will submit your form and you will receive another email requesting your signature. This form is not complete until you have received the second email and submitted your signature. Once completed please send a copy of the confirmation email to Prophec@psac-afpc.com
  • If you are on extended leave
    • If you are not a member in good standing (MIGS) you can make a request to the National President by submitting this form. The National President will respond to your request, which you can send to ncr-vote@psac-afpc.com. Once completed please send a copy of the confirmation email to Prophec@psac-afpc.com

Step 4: VOTE

As a PSAC member in good standing you will be voting on the tentative agreement.

  • Using the PIN which was sent to you in Step 2 you may vote anytime online between June 20th at 7:00 p.m. and June 21st at 7:00 p.m. after you attended the information session outlined in Step 1.
  • This vote is by secret ballot. How you vote is entirely confidential.
