Join members of PSAC-Union of Veterans Affairs Employees outside Treasury Board President Mona Fortier’s constituency office as they demand an end to the for-profit contracting out of veteran care, the hiring of more case managers, and fair wages for public service workers at Veterans Affairs Canada and across the federal public service.

WHEN: October 24 at 12:15p.m.
WHERE: Mona Fortier’s constituency office (233 Montreal Rd. in Vanier)

Speeches by:

  • Virginia Vaillancourt, UVAE National President
  • Toufic El-Daher, UVAE National Executive Vice President
  • Case managers from Veterans Affairs Canada

Treasury Board is still insisting on wage increases that fall well below inflation — that don’t keep up with the rising cost of living — for 165,000 public service workers.

We are ready to fight for what we deserve — a decent contract that builds better, more inclusive workplaces, protects workers from the skyrocketing cost of living and ensures quality public services for all Canadians. And we are ready to take action, up to and including a strike, to be treated with respect!
