Pride

The PSAC’s NCR Pride Committee was established in 1991. It is open to all members in good standing of PSAC within the NCR who self-identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as well as allies.

PSAC Pride will focus on activities on celebrating the resiliency and perseverance of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Pride is not only a vibrant and vocal way to recognize the achievements of 2SLGBTQIA+ people, but it is also a rallying cry to end discrimination, homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia.

We strive to:

• Promote equity and protect the human rights of 2SLGBTQIA+* members;
• Provide a safe informal forum for discussions on work-related issues specific to 2SLGBTQIA+ members;
• Actively address 2SLGBTQIA+ members’ work-related concerns, as well protect human rights.

The NCR Pride Committee requires the Chair and Vice-Chair to be of different genders to create a forum with more balanced gender representation.
